Oculus

Hotspot billing & control for MikroTik

Every hotspot in view.
Every connection paid for.

Oculus runs the business side of your Wi-Fi: packages and vouchers, a branded login page, payments straight into your own Paystack, Flutterwave or Stripe account, and invoices for the venues you manage. One script on the router — no server, no public IP.

The platform

One console. Every router, voucher and payment.

Pay before going online

Checkout opens inside the phone's own login window, so customers pay without needing internet first. The moment payment clears they're connected, at the speed they bought.

No public IP. No VPN.

Routers reach out to Oculus and nothing reaches in — CGNAT, dynamic IPs, LTE and Starlink all just work, with timeouts tuned for satellite links.

A certificate per router

Logins travel over TLS (RadSec), and each router has its own identity. One leaked router can't speak for another.

Vouchers, delivered

On screen, by SMS through your own Termii, Twilio or usmsGH account, by email with a receipt — or printed for the front desk.

Packages your way

Speed, data cap, validity and how many devices share a login. Oculus turns each one into the router's limits for you.

Reports that run the business

Revenue by day, best-selling packages, busiest hours, data used and repeat customers, per site and for any date range. Exports to CSV for your accountant.

Know before they call

A router that goes quiet or drifts out of time is flagged in the console and emailed to you — and again when it's back.

How it connects

Your router dials out. Your customers get online.

  1. Create your account

Choose your business address and confirm your email.

  2. Add a site, packages and your gateway

Name the venue, set prices, and connect the account customers pay into.

  3. Paste one script into the router

It checks the RouterOS version first, then takes over the hotspot you already have — bridges, DHCP and firewall are left alone.

Need outbound HTTPS and TCP 2083 on the router, and a hotspot made with the built-in wizard. Read the setup guide →

New · Client billing

Run Wi‑Fi for other businesses? Bill them from here.

If you operate hotspots on behalf of hotels, schools or shops, Oculus invoices them for you — the same way we invoice you.

  • Your terms. A monthly fee, a price per site, a share of hotspot sales — or any mix — per client.
  • Your paperwork. Your name, address, tax ID, invoice numbering and payment instructions on every PDF.
  • Drafts first. Each month's invoices are drafted for you to check, then issued and emailed in one click.
  • Know who has paid. Record transfers and mobile money as they arrive; overdue invoices are flagged for you.

  • Only real users count. A voucher used on three phones across ten reconnections counts once.
  • Unused vouchers are free. Printed stock waiting at the front desk costs nothing until someone logs in.
  • Never cut off over our bill. At your limit you get a warning and a 7-day grace period; live sessions keep working.

Questions

What operators ask us first.

Anything else? The documentation covers setup end to end.

Do I need a static IP or a VPN?

No. Your router contacts Oculus on a schedule and nothing connects in to it, so CGNAT, dynamic IPs, LTE and Starlink are fine. With a static IP you can opt into a WireGuard tunnel so changes apply instantly.

Which MikroTik routers work?

Any MikroTik on RouterOS 7.10 or later. Logins are encrypted with TLS (RadSec), which RouterOS has from version 7. Upgrading is free, under System → Packages.

Will it change my network?

The script installs the router's certificate, then adds RADIUS settings, walled-garden entries, a time server and a scheduled check-in, and switches only the hotspot server you name. Bridges, IP pools, DHCP and firewall rules are left alone.

Where does the money go?

Into your own payment gateway account. Your Paystack, Flutterwave or Stripe keys are stored encrypted, and Oculus never holds your customers' money.

Can I invoice the venues I manage?

Yes. Client billing lets you set terms per client — a monthly fee, a price per site, a share of hotspot sales — and drafts their invoices every month for you to check and send.

Can we run Oculus as our own platform?

Yes. Oculus Private is a dedicated deployment for ISPs and service providers, in our cloud or on your servers, on your domain and under your brand. See the private deployment page.

Do customers get a receipt?

Customers who give an email address get their voucher in an email in your name and colours, with a PDF receipt. Every payment has a receipt you can download from the console.

Who pays for SMS?

You do, directly: you connect your own Termii, Twilio or usmsGH account, so messages go out under your name at your provider's rates.

Your router is already halfway there.
